A new noticeboard was recently installed in Boosbeck to keep local residents informed of council business and local events.
The 2m by 0.9m noticeboard which is situated behind the bus stop near the Old Methodist Chapel in the High Street was constructed and installed by Hankills Forge & Engineering Services of Moorsholm. The Lockwood Parish Council logo has also been incorporated into the design.
It is hoped to introduce further noticeboards in other villages in the parish in the near future.
Pictured below are Boosbeck Councillors Clive Maidens, Kath Jackson and Jean Maidens next to the new noticeboard.
Lingdale was featured on the BBC local news on Monday 21st July. Popular weatherman Paul Mooney spent the day filming in the village with the result being a short feature designed to celebrate 50 years of Northumbria in Bloom. Lingdale was put forward to the BBC for the feature by officials from Northumbria in Bloom as recognition of the tremendous success the village has had in the competition in recent years.
The Chairman and members of the council wish to give their hearty congratulations to all the participating groups who took part in this years competition.
