The Chairman and members of the council wish to give their hearty congratulations to all the participating groups who took part in this years competition.

 

Again, the efforts of our community have not gone unnoticed and have provided our parish with many great displays of a horticultural nature enhancing our environment.

This year the following groups in our parish received the following awards:Growing Together Lingdale Primary School - Gold, Lockwood Primary School - Silver Gilt

Small Villages (300 and under) Margrove Park Silver, Stanghow Gold

Villages (301 1000) Moorsholm Gold and the Trophy Winner

Large Villages (1,001 2,500) Lingdale Gold

Grounds of Religious Establishments (maintained by the parishioners) St Marys Church, Moorsholm - Gold and Trophy Winner

Conservation projects Saving our Heritage, Moorsholm Gold

Outstanding contributions to Northumbria in Bloom by private individuals. Nominees; Barry McCabe, Moorsholm and Arthur Murray, Stanghow.

Well done to everyone who took part in Northumbria In Bloom from all at the Parish Council.

 

Lockwood Parish Council supports several voluntary groups and local schools in the parish who enter the Northumbria in Bloom Competition. Their efforts in this regional competition have grown over the years and have not gone unnoticed. Floral displays around the parish have greatly improve the appearance of many areas giving great pleasure to all parishioners. Over the years their efforts have been greatly rewarded with Silver and Gold awards covering different categories. Many groups have entered Northumbria in Bloom for this forthcoming year, building upon their previous success and making further improvements to displays.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lingdale Lift Off is a community group based in Lingdale. The Community Garden is the main growing centre for the displays provided in Lingdale. 

 

 

 

 

 

Stanghow Residents Group have excelled in this regional competition and their efforts have been greatly rewarded with winning the Small Village category.
