Lockwood Parish Council budgets a sum of money every year for grants to organisations and activities which contribute constructively to, and enhance, the life or community of the parish and benefit its parishioners.There is still money left in the current financial year budget. Applications should be received by Wednesday 11th March 2015.

These grants are limited and are made available to organisations that can demonstrate a need for assistance. Groups and organisations based in the parish or whose work involves benefiting its parishioners can apply for grant assistance to assist their work or project costs. Our policy and guidelines on grant giving, plus the application form can be downloaded at the foot of this page and returned to the council for consideration.

In the current financial year 2014/2015 the following grants have been awarded by Lockwood Parish Council:-

£3,550 to support local groups participating in the Northumbria in Bloom competition.

£500 to Lingdale Lift-off

£300 to Boosbeck & District British Legion

£200 to Moorsholm Memorial Hall to assist with production of the Moorsholm Show

£150 to Lingdale Utd FC to help with purchase of football kit

£100 to Lingdale Lift-Off to assist with new noticeboard, flag and flag pole at Youth & Community Centre

£50 to Take Heart Support Group

£100 to Eva Women's Aid

£100 to Great North Air Ambulance

£100 to Boosbeck Looking Good re refreshments for the Pensioner's Tea with Christmas Carols

£100 to Lingdale Lift-Off re refreshments for the Christingle Service

In 2013/2014 almost £19,000 was paid out in grants to local organisations and charities as listed below.

£2,500 to Moorsholm Cricket & Athletic Club

£4,300 to Boosbeck Looking Good (MUGA)

£2,000 to Moorsholm Memorial Hall

£50 to Butterwick Childrens Hospice

£110 to Moorsholm Memorial Hall

£550 to Boosbeck Allotment Association

£1,040 to 1st Boosbeck Brownies

£235 to Stanghow Residents Group

£100 to The Great North Air Ambulance

£50 to the Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum

£150 to The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal

£50 to Butterwick Hospice Care

£50 to Butterwick Children's Hospice

£50 to The Doorway Project

£200 in Christmas Grants to local organisations

£2,672 was awarded to the Lingdale Track & Field project

£4,315 was awarded in grants to support groups participating in the Northumbria In Bloom £4,315.
